3. Create your controls
With your policy structure, including categories and subcategories, in place, you can now create new controls. These controls define the actionable measures that must be effectively implemented and adhered to within your organisation.
Adding controls in CSFaaS is a quick and straightforward process.
Add controls in a Category
-
Navigate to the Policy section where you want to add a control.
-
Navigate to the Category or Subcategory where you want to add a control and click on it.
-
In the detailed description of the selected Category or Subcategory card, click on “Add New Control”.
- Fill in the Required Information:
- Displayed Control Code: Enter a control code or use the default one provided.
- Control Name: Provide a clear and concise name for the control.
- Control Description: Add a description of the control's purpose and implementation (you can also add this later if needed).
- Parent Link Settings: Specify whether to apply link settings from the parent. Any existing link settings will be duplicated for this control.
- Save Your New Control: Click the blue “Add Control” button to save your control.
Tips and reminders: If you open a Policy that has no Category, you will not be able to add a control.
