4. Notifications Settings

Effective communication is key to managing cybersecurity processes. The Notification Settings in CSFaaS allow you to configure and manage alerts for various activities and events across your workspace. This ensures that the right stakeholders are informed promptly and can take action as needed.

Notification settings allow you to manage alerts for various categories in your workspace. The categories include:

  • Frameworks
  • Policies
  • Controls
  • Demands
  • Risks
  • Risk Remediation
  • Systems
  • Third Parties
  • Forms
  • Settings

Notification recipients

For each notification type, you can define who should receive these alerts.

The available options are:

Workspace Owner (default

The workspace owner will always receive notifications by default.

Resource Owners

Notifications can be sent to specific resource owners for the relevant items.

Other Role

Select a custom role already defined in the Roles section or specify a new role to receive notifications.


Detailed Notifictions

Some alerts (e.g., payments or administrative tasks) are mandatory and will always be sent to the Workspace Owner.

Below is a detailed list of optional notifications that can be configured for each category:

Frameworks

  • New Framework Version: Triggered when a new version of a framework is created.
  • Framework Element Added: Triggered when new element (domains, categories, subcategories) are added to a framework.
  • Framework Element Deleted: Triggered when a framework is set for deletion.

Policies

  • New Policy Version: Triggered when a new version of a policy is created.
  • Policy Element Added: Triggered when a new element (policies or their children) is added.
  • PolicyElement Removed: Triggered when a element (policies or their children) is removed.

Demands

  • Demand Created: Triggered when a new demand is received.
  • Demand Pending: Triggered when a demand needs more information.
  • Demand Accepted: Triggered when a demand is accepted.
  • Demand Rejected: Triggered when a demand is rejected.
  • Demand Completed: Triggered when a demand is marked as completed.
  • Demand Deleted: Triggered when a demand is deleted.

Risks

  • Risk Created: Triggered when a new risk is created.
  • Risk Deleted: Triggered when a risk is deleted.

Risk Remediation

  • Risk Remediation Created: Triggered when a new risk remediation is created.
  • Risk Remediation Deleted: Triggered when a risk remediation is deleted.

Systems

  • System Created: Triggered when a new system is created.
  • System Deleted: Triggered when a system is deleted.

Third Parties

  • Third Party Created: Triggered when a new third party is created.
  • Third Party Deleted: Triggered when a third party is deleted.

Forms

  • Form Sent: Triggered when a form is sent.
  • Form Submitted: Triggered when a form is submitted.
  • Form Deleted: Triggered when a form is deleted.

Settings

  • New Workspace User: Triggered when a new user is added to the workspace.
  • New Workspace Role: Triggered when a new role is added to the workspace.
